Project 1 - Make your own Butterfly embellishment Techniques used - Colouring in on acetate and use of stickers Lift Outline Butterfly sticker from sticker sheet and lay it on the acetate sheet. Gently rub with your finger to make sure that it is stuck completely. Use an Aqualip pen to colour in between the sticker outlines. When the ink is dry, cut the butterfly out following the outer edge of the sticker. Place your thumb at the point where the wing joins the body and bend the acetate up, do the same to the other side. Attach to your project with a glue dot or other adhesive of your choice. You will find Acetate sheets and Aqualip pens in Miscellaneous Items. The butterfly pictured is sticker number STB-03P1 and is available in Gold, Silver, and Rainbow Black. View sticker page. |

Dry embossing..... can be done very easily with out the use of a lightbox, all you need is a chipboard shape (or similar) and an object with a smooth round part on it like the handles of your craft scissors or the rounded end of a pen. Place the shape to be embossed on the table and place the card on top so that the shape is in the position that you want to emboss it. Gently feel around the edge of the shape with your fingers just to get a light outline of the shape. Using the rounded part of your object, or extra large embossing tool, gently move it around the edge of the shape, don't press too hard or you will tear the card. Repeat this process for each place you want the embossed shape. |

The hearts were embossed using the small heart from the Funky Chipboard Shapes pack. Then the Mini Ribbon Binder cover was made using the embossed cardstock. Next, using a Smudgee Mitt and a Dewdrop ink pad, the raised parts of the embossing were rubbed with ink. |
